Quran Companion (“the App”) is designed to help you read and listen to the Quran with as little data collection as possible. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the App.
The App stores the following locally (for example with on-device storage):
This information does not leave your device unless you later enable a sync feature (not part of the current MVP) or you export/share content yourself (for example Share or Copy).
When you play audio, the App streams recitation files from third-party content delivery networks. Those requests may include technical data typical of any internet connection (such as IP address and device user-agent) processed by the CDN provider under their own terms.
Bundled Quran text and translations are shipped inside the App and do not require a network connection to read.
The current MVP does not include advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs. Crash reporting, if added later, will be disclosed in an updated policy before shipping.
The App is a general religious reading tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because reading data stays on-device for MVP, there is no server-side profile for minors.
Microphone access is not required for reading or playback.
