This policy describes how Brain Dump handles information on your device. The app is local-first. It does not create accounts and does not run a Brain Dump backend that receives your thoughts in this version.

Free-form text (and optional speech-to-text transcripts from the system recognizer) that you enter. Stored locally as brain dumps and extracted items (titles, optional dates/times you provided, types, notes).
Display name, language preference, and notification toggles. Stored on-device.
If you enable them, the app schedules local reminders for items you confirmed with a time, plus optional morning/evening check-ins. Notification permission may be requested on Android 13+.
Microphone access is handled by the system speech recognizer when you tap the mic. Brain Dump does not upload raw audio to a Brain Dump server.
Only to capture thoughts, organize them into actions, show Today/Inbox lists, search locally, and fire optional local notifications. No advertising. No sale of data.
AI-assisted organization is labeled in the review step. You confirm items before they become lasting actions. The parser must not invent times you did not write.
None for dump text in MVP. There is no cloud AI provider compiled into the Play build. If a future version sends text to a model, this policy and Play Data Safety will be updated first, and the in-app privacy note will say so.
Google Play distributes the app. The system speech recognizer (if used) is provided by the device/OS vendor under their terms.
Account deletion: Not applicable — Brain Dump has no accounts.
Brain Dump is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
MVP processing is on-device. Brain Dump does not transfer your dumps to a Brain Dump cloud service.
Updates to this policy will change the effective date and, when required, the Play listing and in-app disclosure.
